Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R) provides attachment/ internship programmes with a focused and challenging research experience. Interns are trailed with various experience in the vibrant eco-system of A*STAR R&D. Under the guidance of experienced supervisors, interns will have the opportunity to be exposed to hands-on experience in the area of research interest. Furthermore, I2R is a partnered institute for the various attachment awards and scholarships which are presented by A*STAR Graduate Academy.

Scientific Attachment

The institute hosts students for a scientific attachment programme of at least 2 months in duration. This is an institute-initiated programme for talent attraction and to engage students of all levels. 
  • Open to all students.
  • Period of attachment: minimum 2 months
  • The allowance rate will be disclosed if you are shortlisted for the attachment.

Attachment Awards Programme

òòò½ÍøInternational Pre-Graduate Award (SIPGA)
  • Open to Undergraduate or Masters Foreign Students of an Overseas University.
  • Attachment duration of 2 to 6 months.

Scholarship

As òòò½Íøinvests significantly in building up R&D capabilities in the country, there is a need to train up a bigger pool of Ph.D. manpower. Working together, I2R, NUS, NTU, and SUTD can contribute their respective inherent advantages and strengths to attract the best PhD talents from around the world.

These scholarships will be awarded through the A*STAR Graduate Academy (A*GA). Subjected to meeting the respective university’s prevailing Ph.D. programme requirements (including duties relating to teaching/research/others), the selected students will be awarded the Ph.D. degree at the end of the prescribed course of studies.
