Healthcare AI Symposium
The inaugural Healthcare AI Symposium 2024 kicked off with a bang on 12 July 2024. Co-organised by ASTAR's Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC) and EVYD Technology, the symposium also marked the first anniversary of the A*STAR-EVYD Joint Lab, established to be a leading global hub for fostering advancements in AI-powered population health and digital health.
Themed "Transforming Healthcare with AI through Innovation and Collaboration", the symposium brought together over 170 clinicians, researchers, technologists, and policymakers. It featured a keynote by Professor Robert JT Morris, 2 x engaging panel discussions, 1 x fireside chat, 17 x technology demonstrations, and 7 x innovation showcases by healthcare companies and startups.

The A*STAR-EVYD Joint Lab aims to be the leading global innovation hub to foster a vibrant ecosystem for AI-driven advancements in population health and digital health. It represents combined expertise and knowledge from the domains of biomedical science, artificial intelligence, and technology, along with a proven track record of translating research into real-world applications.
Key collaboration areas of the joint lab include:
- R&D in technologies aimed at tackling industry-specific challenges for population health and digital health.
- Pilot testing and deploying innovative AI-driven medical data processing, secure data technologies for validated practical applications outside laboratory settings, increasing confidence levels to pave the way for large-scale adoption by stakeholders.
- Facilitating knowledge sharing amongst the healthcare communities by organising workshops, seminars or conferences that bring together researchers, industry professionals and ecosystem stakeholders.
