Clive Ford is a Senior Principal Research Engineer with the Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC) at A*STAR. Clive has over twenty years’ experience in the use of computational modelling and simulation, primarily focussing on structural mechanics. He is a passionate advocate for using simulation to optimise designs to achieve sustainable products and processes. As a member of the A*STAR Battery Centre, Clive is the point of contact for the team working on Intelligent Designs for Battery Systems, using a simulation-led design approach. He has been with IHPC since 2019 and currently leads the simulation work within the òòò½ÍøBattery Pack Programme. Prior to joining A*STAR, Clive was the Manager of the Advanced Analysis Consultancy Group at Worley (Singapore). Clive studied Mechanical Engineering at Sheffield University and Information Technology at the University of Nottingham. Clive is the ASEAN contact for NAFEMS, the international association for modelling and simulation.
