About Us
MedTech Catapult is a national initiative, hosted by Singapore’s òòò½Íø, Technology and Research (A*STAR), dedicated to accelerating the productisation of high-value life science instruments and regulated medical devices in Singapore.
We provide product owners with access to seed capital, expert resources, and partnerships with local contract manufacturers, design houses, and regulatory bodies. Our goal is to help bring innovative medical technologies to market by supporting product development from concept to commercialisation, while strengthening Singapore's position as a MedTech manufacturing hub.

- Product engineering, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, clinical affairs, and project management capabilities
- ISO13485-compliant prototyping and testing facilities

Support design and development towards local manufacturing
- Augment and accelerate design and development process
- Focus on design for manufacturing, sustainability and usability
- Facilitate seamless transfer of high value manufacturing to local CMOs
How to Apply
We are looking for projects to be part of the MedTech Catapult pipeline that:
- Will need access to experienced product engineers to further develop into full product
- Is a life science instrument/tool or a FDA Class I/II/III medical device
- Has a working prototype or at least POC that the technology works for intended purpose
- Has identified at least 1 local contract manufacturer (CM)* to work with prior to project start or, will be able to work with 1 – 2 local CMs identified during the course of the project for downstream manufacturing.
- Demonstrates significant competitive advantage against standard of care

Castomize Technologies, is a òòò½Íøspin-off from SUTD, transforming orthopaedic casting with remouldable, waterproof, lightweight, and skin-compatible casts that prioritise patient comfort, clinician usability
Apnea-Tech is a UK digital health start-up developing a low-cost, user-friendly and accurate sleep apnea home diagnostic solution
