Celebrating Dedication and Innovation: Recognising Glen Goh’s Contributions at NMC
17 Jan 2025
At the National Metrology Centre (NMC), Glen Goh exemplifies the spirit of going above and beyond. As Assistant Director in the Research Development Unit, Glen oversees research administration, project management, and digitalisation efforts. One of his standout achievements was redesigning the Job Management System (JMS) 2.0, which manages around 5,000 calibration and measurement service jobs annually. By rebuilding the system from scratch, Glen will save NMC approximately $300,000 in development costs, showcasing his technical expertise and ability to enhance efficiency while fostering collaboration across teams.
In 2023, Glen's contributions extended beyond his core responsibilities. He curated NMC’s Jubilee Memoir for its 50th Anniversary, coordinated musical performances, and spearheaded the digital social media outreach by establishing and managing NMC’s LinkedIn presence. Additionally, his active involvement in the NMC Recreational Club helped organise activities that strengthened team bonding and workplace camaraderie. Through his resourcefulness, leadership, and unwavering dedication, Glen has not only driven operational success but also enriched NMC’s vibrant and collaborative environment, making him a deserving nominee for the Going-the-Extra-Mile Service (GEMS) Award 2024.
