Multiple instance learning (MIL) model successfully predicts tumour purity
A*STAR AI & data analytics researchers led by Dr Lee Hwee Kwan (BII) published in Cell Press: Patterns "Obtaining spatially resolved tumour purity maps using deep multiple instance learning in a pan-cancer study". Its utility lies in accurately mapping out where are the tumour regions of a
biopsy / resection so that sequencing can be targeted on those regions. Hence
improving sequencing signals for downstream therapy decisions.
