Managing Director of EDB visit to SIFBI

We were honored to host Ms. , Managing Director of the , and her team this week. As part of her visit to A*STAR, we shared SIFBI’s strategic pillars and holistic approach in food, nutrition, and consumer care with the goal of maximizing overall health and wellness for the Asian region. This includes driving innovation to meet emerging consumer needs and preferences in Asia by developing proprietary knowledge from lab to scale up. In the area of Bioeconomy, SIFBI will co-innovate with the ecosystem, leveraging the power of synthetic biology and modeling to produce sustainable, high-value ingredients for food and consumer care products.

The EDB team also toured both of our joint labs in ’s Food Tech Innovation Centre (FTIC), where we accelerate the translation of lab-scale innovations to pilot scale through our fermentation and food processing capabilities. We look forward to having more collaborative opportunities through strategic public-private partnerships to serve as the regional innovation engine for food, nutrition, and consumer care.
