Programme Overview

The manufacturing value chain has significantly transformed in recent years, driven by the shift towards advanced and intelligent manufacturing. Robotics and automation, as key enablers of productivity and efficiency, are increasingly in demand across a broad spectrum of industries. Rapid technological advancements further amplify their potential for delivering substantial business value. In response, companies are actively seeking professionals who not only possess a solid foundation in robotics and automation, but also have the ability to apply state-of-the-art technologies effectively in real-world settings.

SIMTech’s SCTP in Industrial Automation is structured around six core modules. The programme begins with skill-based training to build essential technical competencies, and progresses to application-focused modules covering process planning and implementing automation solutions. Participants will gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience in advanced topics such as intuitive robotic programming, mobile robot navigation and localisation, sensor-guided robotic pick-and-place, Robot Operating System (ROS) applications, and automation design and simulation.

This is a full-time programme with an expected duration of six months. Citizens aged 40 and above admitted to the SCTP in Industrial Automation may be eligible for the .

Objectives

The programme is designed to enhance participants’ expertise in robotics, material handling, automation system control, design, and simulation. Through a blend of insightful lectures from industry experts and hands-on sessions in cutting-edge labs, participants will develop practical skills and innovative solutions for real-world challenges in the field of automation and engineering.

What our trainees say
