- updates on the release of the first draft of the Human Cell Atlas
- how to implement and integrate AI and spatial genomics technologies into single-cell atlases
- advance equity and diversity
- demonstrate the value of healthy atlases by addressing specific diseases
- expand the Human Cell Atlas beyond the first draft

AI for Nucleic Acids workshop at ICLR 2025

📢Exciting Upcoming Event! 🎉
Our team from the AI for Genomics lab @astar_gis - Prof. Mile Šikić, Ivona Martinović, Tin Vlašić and Lovro Vrček, are co-organizing the AI for Nucleic Acids workshop at ICLR 2025 (International Conference on Learning Representations) this April! One of the most prestigious global AI conferences, this workshop is organized in collaboration with researchers from renowned institutions such as Harvard, Cambridge, Oxford, EPFL, and NVIDIA, where we will explore the intersection of AI and biology, specifically focusing on nucleic acids.

🎯Workshop Goals:
+ To highlight the growing potential of AI applications in nucleic acid research.
+ To introduce key research challenges in this field to the broader AI community.
+ To foster new collaborations and drive innovations with a transformative impact in diagnostics, therapeutics, and biotechnology.

🔍Why Participate?
+ Option to present your work in archival or non-archival format - and receive valuable feedback before formal publication.
+ Compete for prizes for the best papers, with some submissions selected for 10-minute contributed talks.
+ Partnership with Nature Methods – the selected manuscripts might be invited for submission to Nature Methods
+ Apply for travel and registration grants for accepted papers to make participation more accessible.
+ The workshop features a "tiny paper" track, aimed at underrepresented minorities and first-time submitters who have never submitted to ICLR or similar conferences.
